Happy Dance!

It's Friday! The weekend is here with so much potential and so much to look forward to. My parents and little (enormous) brother are on their way up. I get to see the little baby bear (aka nephew) tomorrow. I don't have to talk to a teenager for two whole days (don't get me wrong I like most of them, but at this point I covet time with people over the age of 21). I get to go running...with friends and family...in the daylight. My house will be halfway clean...for at least thirty minutes. The beauty of two days off. I like working because it makes me appreciate not working just that much more. Kind of like when you don't have a lot of money and then somebody anonymously sends a $100 check to the following address: 4575 Dra.... Just kidding. Unless of course you want to send me a check then I'm not kidding. ;)

I think that's my cue.

Peace out.

Granny Panties

As defined in the Urban Dictionary:
Granny Panties - 1)Underwear your mother bought you. 2.) What normal women are forced to wear when all the other panties haven't been washed yet. 3)A pair of underwear which are usually A) larger than the woman who wears them. B) Very stretchy and elastic. C) The best pair of undies you'll ever wear. Most people frown upon them because, as we all know, the smaller your undies are, the cooler you are. But in terms of comfort and practicality they beat thongs by a mile or more.
I was at Victoria's Secret the other day to exchange the underwear we traditionally receive at Christmas from my grandma. These underwear did not fit any of the above criteria for Granny Panties. In fact, they were a little on the low coverage side. Not a good look for me. It was either constant wedgie or constant crack and I decided I wasn't game for either. Consequently, I found myself shuffling through the bins of panties trying to remember what cut I usually wear. I refrained myself from twisting around to check the tag of those I was wearing, but it was really hard. I didn't want to spend more time in the store than I had to. Last time I ran into a student for a rather embarrassing moment, and I didn't want to replay that scene. I quickly grabbed a couple pair that looked "about right" in my size and went through the process of making the return.
"Whew." I thought. "Success." Right. After getting them home, washing them, and drying them. I thought, "these look a little large." I checked the tag and compared them to my other undies. "Bikini" = old style. "Brief" = new style. Oh dear. "Oh well," I thought. "More coverage." I'm not out to impress anyone anyway. I'm all about comfort, baby. Pffft. It took one run in those car covers to realize comfort was not in the cards. More coverage means more fabric, which means more creeping, which means by the time I was done with my run, I had cotton mouth. Enough said.

A few more because even if you don't like staring at him, I do

La-tee-da-tee, I'm Aunt Bobbi's little hottie!

Tootie-fruity, I'm grandma's little cutie!

The weekends almost here, I'm gonna squeeze me a baby bear!

Okay, okay, pictures:

Picture #1: My precious Mama Joe. Oh, you wanted precious baby pictures? You'll have to wait. Let's analyze this one first: look how sassy she is sitting there all pretty in pink. "Oh good gracious I'm so adorable right now. No please don't take my picture, oh wait don't leave. Okay, maybe just a quick pose. Cheeeeeese." :) She's a grandma.

Picture #2: This is Bessy. She cleans my dishes. Thanks Bessy.

Picture #3: Okay, now we're both adorable. He loves him a grandma!

Picture #4: All bundled up in his traveling suit.

Picture #5: I'm a grandbear. I need to be cuddled immediately.
Oh the pain the agony, I'm having baby boy withdrawals. I don't know if I'm going to make it.

Picture #6: Baby Quentin and his favorite Auntie Bobbi. He may grow up confused about the whole gender issue with an Aunt Bob, but I'm determined to make amends by buying him lots of presents. :)

As further evidence of his gender confusion may I present picture #7:
Nice man-boobs Ryan. I can see how that would be confusing for Quentin.

What I Did For Christmas Break

Do you remember writing those essays in third grade? Only now it would be: What I Did For Winter Break. You can't specify the holiday because it might spoil the surprise. We get two weeks off of school because Christmas is almost here, surprise! I think that's the idea anyway.
This two weeks has felt longer, which is a surprise. It's been a good break though. I think I'm refreshed and ready to hit the gym again. The classroom I mean. Same difference.

Here's some things I learned this break:
1) Ross will do nice things that I don't expect (i.e. bring home flowers)
2) Ross will eat things that make me gag (i.e. bacon and mayonnaise sandwiches)
3) Ross' dog can clear a room with his foul farts (I said fart)
4) Ross is not too old for toys (he got an air-soft gun for his b-day, and has started terrorizing the neighborhood cats...when they come into our yard).
5) Ross had a birthday and is really old now (but not really mature...at all). :)

I'll post more Quentin pictures soon because let's face it, that's all we really want at this point. This post is really just a teaser. He gets cuter everyday. That's a scientific fact, and is based on very unbiased empirical data. That's my story. The end.
